Effect of plasma treatment on the bond of soft denture liner to conventional and high impact acrylic denture materials

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: The main drawback of soft lining materials was that they debonded from the denture base after a certain period usage. Therefore, purpose this research to determine impact oxygen and argon plasma treatment on shear bonding strength liners two different kinds materials: conventional acrylic resin high resin. Materials Methods: Heat cure blocks (40 for each group) were prepared. A liner connected final test specimen material. Shear bond (SBS) assessed using universal testing machine. Additional also prepared analyzing Vickers microhardness, contact angle, FTIR AFM. results statistically analyzed paired-sample T-test independent-samples (α=0.05). Results: showed highly significant increase in SBS following with highest mean value observed treated specimen. Along rise wettability, while microhardness preserved. Conclusion: In conclusion, significantly effective enhancing between materials.

Effect of denture cleansing agents on tensile and shear bond strengths of soft liners to acrylic denture base

Background. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effect of Corega and 2.5% sodium hypochlorite cleansing agents on the shear and tensile bond strengths of GC soft liner to denture base. Methods. A total of 144 samples (72 samples for tensile and 72 for shear bond strength evaluations) were prepared. The samples in each group were subdivided into three subgroups in terms of the clean...
